We had a record-breaking 164 people at our Club end of season awards dinner on Friday – it was a great atmosphere and brilliant to see so many players and volunteers there representing every single team.

There was much to celebrate including:

  • Mens’ 1s promotion into the National Premier League
  • Women’s 1s successful campaign back in the National Premier League
  • Women’s 2s retaining National league status

Congratulations to all award nominees and winners:

Thanks to everyone who organised and who helped to make the evening – as well as this season – such a success.

And finally a Newsflash: Bowdon’s Ken Wilcock has Captained the England Over 80s Team!

It would be remiss not to mention another impressive update from our most senior end of the Club last week. Ken Wilcock, one of our Masters players who has also been an incredible mentor this season playing in the 9th team to support some of our 13 year old boys as they are introduced into Men’s hockey, has just captained the England Men’s Over 80s team. They played The Netherlands in Canterbury, resulting in one win and one loss. You can read more in The Hockey Paper’s report here. Congratulations Ken!
