As England Hockey is reframing its player pathway, many players and parents may be a little confused about what a Talent Centre is and its place within the England Hockey Talent Pathway. As one of the first Talent Centres, you can learn more below about what it means at Bowdon Hockey Club.
Key points to note:
- As an EH Talent Centre, Bowdon HC is accredited to provide the right training and development environment for all levels of player, including those aspiring to progress through the EH Pathway.
- To achieve this, our junior training and player development is being evolved to support a continuum of juniors from those aspiring to play at the highest national level to those learning and enjoying social hockey.
- Player development is at the core of our training ethos and the ‘Bowdon Brand’ – if we do this right, team success will follow.
- Players can be nominated directly from Bowdon HC for assessment to progress further at Talent Academy and England Hockey National Age Groups.
