We are proud to be an England Hockey Talent Centre and a leading North West Hockey Club

We offer hockey for all levels and ages from age 4 to 18, with a focus on player development whilst also striving to be inclusive and welcoming. We want every young player to enjoy the sport of hockey and achieve their goals, whatever level.

We have over 400 junior members, enabled by a fantastic volunteer team and supported by a small professional hockey coaching and leadership group. Our ethos of ‘OneClubAsOneTeam’ permeates across the Club both on and off the pitch, and we encourage juniors to get involved in all aspects of the club on and off the pitch.

We are keen to offer access to hockey across our local community and run Just Play sessions open to non-members as well as members on Mondays and Fridays 5-6pm. Non-members can book onto these on a PAYG basis via our Bowdon Hockey Plus Portal, which is also where we also share details of holiday activity.

More information is below and also on our separate Primary age and Secondary age hockey pages.

INTERESTED IN JOINING?

We do all we can to accommodate players, but do have waiting lists in some year groups. Please contact [email protected] for secondary age players or [email protected] for primary age for more information and to check capacity. In line with our access policy, we will consider requests for subsidised membership, so if you have a keen player and wish to learn more about this, please get in touch.

VOLUNTEERING

If you think you could help in ANY way with the hockey section, please get in touch – you don’t need to know anything about hockey! For example, as well as support with coaching and umpiring, we need First Aiders, team managers, fixture organisers, membership co-ordinator, communicators, web/social media content creators, social organisers, fundraisers, Pre-loved kit co-ordinators etc.

In addition, we love juniors to get involved to learn new skills, build connections and gain experience – whether as part of Duke of Edinburgh or just as a member of our Youth Leadership Team.
