This is an appeal to all associated with the Bowdon Club – we need YOUR help to Crowdfund for our new astro pitch, which, if successful, we HOPE could be fitted this summer.
The pitch is now 25 years old and is a vital asset for us as a club. In addition to hockey, it also provides sports and activity access for the wider community, most notably for Hale United Football Club as well as local schools and community groups.
Through a diligent maintenance and cleaning programme, we have managed to get it to outlive its anticipated lifespan. However, it is worn, losing performance and we can’t put off replacing it any longer.
We already have some funds saved for this and have applied for various grants. We are very grateful to Sport England who have agreed to provide matched funding for this Crowdfunding appeal, so need YOUR help to raise the outstanding amount of around £30,000 within the next six weeks. Matched funding means that for every £1 you donate, the pitch fund receives £2.
