We are very proud to announce that Bowdon Hockey Club is one of the first 20 hockey clubs across England to achieve Talent Centre (TC) accreditation from England Hockey.
A Talent Centre (TC) Club is a club that is recognised for providing high quality provision for its players at early talent development level, demonstrating a quality talent development environment and provision across its Junior programme, not just for individual players. You can read more about the England Hockey announcement here.
Our TC accreditation demonstrates that actions have been taken to address key areas such as coaching, talent development provision, athlete wellbeing and governance, and we are confident that all members will see the benefit of this progress. We view the scope of talent development as inclusive across all ages and levels at the club, and will be implementing our new strategy that will address all these areas this season.
Our popular Junior Programme continues to be very well supported and we are very grateful to all our team, including volunteers, who have put so much work into achieving this Talent Centre accreditation and who continue to put so much work into taking Junior hockey provision forward at Bowdon Hockey Club. By entering many Junior teams into local junior leagues, NW and EH Cup competitions we also are able to build on this talent development by offering great competitive opportunities for Junior players at the Club.
